Chrysler Manager for Organizational Learning & Leadership Development, William J. Kurolvech is currently managing development activities aligned to support Chrysler performance management behaviors, corporate values and leadership development for 15,000 global Chrysler executive, management and salary bargaining unit employees.
Bill Kurolvech started his career in public education with the Grosse Pointe Public Schools after graduating from Eastern Michigan University. Bill then moved to Chrysler Corporation in 1984 as a technical instructor in the Advanced Product Training group. Bill progressed to Senior Instructor / Programs Developer over 13 years while working and servicing operations in Mexico, Italy, Austria, Germany, South America & China. Bill then moved to the Management and Executive Education Group in 1995 to focus on developing management skills training to support Human Resources and Employee Relations. During this period Bill participated in the implementation of a customized corporate LMS solution and later spearheaded joint activity to implement an enterprise purchased LMS solution for the Chrysler Group in conjunction with the UAW and CAW.
As one of Chrysler early leaders in eLearning Bill began efforts in 1998 to standardized eLearning platform directed through the Chrysler Training Provider Forum that Bill now chairs. Standardization of the LMS, Virtual classroom tools and eLearning course offerings was accomplished over a 3 year period.
Recent efforts have been focused on a major redesign to the management development offerings and processes, providing a new corporate product labeled “The Management Performance Zone”. The MPZ is an application of a blended learning model of technology and traditional classroom instruction. This model addresses corporate culture, learning styles and learner demographics while providing complete alignment to the requests of various internal customers.
