John was an early adopter and evangelist of a broad range of standards, including learning technologies, metadata, and technical documentation and is an active contributor to a number of these including ADL (SCORM), AICC and MedBig. Two of his essays appear in two volumes of the Results Driven Manager series published by Harvard Business School Press. In addition, he co-authored an article with Marshall Goldsmith, "Selling Up is Leading Up: Coaching Your Manager Can Be as Important as Coaching Your Direct Report" that is contained in Coaching for Leadership (Second Edition) (Pfeiffer 2006).

Jennifer Barr is a Supervisor of Learning and Development at CDW, a leading provider of technology products and services for business, government and education.
Barr is responsible for running a first-class Sales Onboarding Program and developing an instructor team that supports CDW’s strategies and business goals. Additionally, Barr manages the onboarding program for all new CDW coworkers.
Barr joined the CDW team in 2000 as a Corporate Account Manager where she maintained account relationships and worked with customers to identify the best technology products and services to meet their needs. She then transitioned to the Learning & Development team in 2001 where she held positions as a Sales New Hire Instructor and Program Specialist until she transitioned into her current Supervisor role.

Dr. Barr’s involvement with The Chicago School began with the inception of the master's program in I/O Psychology in 2001. He is responsible for the school’s external consulting services and supervises students and other faculty engaged in consulting across several disciplines. Dr. Barr is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Society of Consulting Psychology—Division 13 of the American Psychology Association. He also serves on the Presidential Task Force for the Standards for Education for Consulting Psychologists.
